Trailer Finder
To help you find the most suitable trailer for your boat we have tried to make it simple.
On our trailer specifications the maximum boat length is determined by the ‘stern to bow eye’ distance. The overall length can be a bit misleading as many modern boats have extended swim platforms that make an 18’ boat measure 20’ and so on.
Similarly, some cruisers can have a bow sprit that extends from the bow of the boat. Consideration should be given if your boat has this as if you put it on a trailer too small there is the possibility of the bow sprit hitting the back of the towing vehicle if you encounter a sudden change of incline.
The example boat below shows the various measurements you need to consider when deciding if your boat fits a particular trailer model. Essentially we only need two measurements to ensure the boat fits the trailer. They are:-
Stern to bow eye and height of bow eye from keel.
Get these two and you will not be far off.
